This piece was quite a challenge, created for someone who loved gargoyle's. The only specifications given were to make it dark and scary and whatever my interpretation of a gargoyle was. Well I knew nothing about gargoyle's. After doing some research I learned that they are protectors from evil and that they are actually the good guys, so I had to figure out a way to combine a good guy that was scary enough to frighten evil away. I wanted to create a lot of movement in the piece that would capture the strong, swift urgency that I imagine would exist in being a gargoyle. With the completed piece I do feel as though there is a slight bit of kindness showing in his eyes and it's as though he's swooping in quickly to say..."everything okay, any evil lurking that you need me to take care of?"

The specifications for this piece were: - Fill a space on a wall in the bedroom that needed artwork and create a piece that visually connected with the colors and elements of the room. - Create a piece that captured the owners love and passion for nature and gardening... Something to inspire relaxation at the end of the day as well as something beautifully inspiring at the start of the day.
